ABOUT SCOTT

divider
“Born and raised near the Jersey Shore, it is no wonder why the Marlboro native and current resident became so quickly involved in the Asbury Park and Central Jersey music scenes. At just 5 years of age, he remembers clear as day sitting on his bedroom floor with an old Ampeg cassette player listening over and over to his older brother’s “Strawberry Fields Forever” cassette of The Beatles. Music quickly became one of his passions after that. Scott remembers writing a horrible song (his first) called “Climb Every Mountain” at 9 years old by banging on the side of an acoustic guitar lying around from the same brother. Songwriting always has been his concentration. However, he has played with numerous NYC and Jersey Shore area bands from 1996 till Present. After taking several months of drum lessons from local, NJ legend, Joe Belia, he went on to teach himself keyboards and rhythm guitar to solidify his songwriting skills. This afforded him many appearances on stages such as The Stony Pony, The Saint, The Bitter End, Kenny’s Castaway’s, Joe’s Pub, and much more. When not playing or writing music, Scott enjoys being a father and husband to a wonderful, growing family. During the day, Scott runs a printing and direct mail company in midtown NYC. He also is an avid organic vegetable gardener, along with his children. They donate most of their harvests to NJ area food banks and soup kitchens.
By late summer 2016, Scott will be releasing his second CD of original songs, A Way of Life-1996 to 2016 (30 Years of Original Songs).”
